All of our courses and activities are offered to parents of both St. Fergal’s N.S. and St. Kilian’s C.S.

 

Parents Plus Early Years

Wednesdays 9:30-11:30 @ Parent’s Room

An evidence-based parenting course promoting confidence, learning and positive behaviour in young children aged 1 to 6 years

Drawing on well-researched ideas about child development, and parent-child communication, the Parents Plus Early Years Programme is ideal for parents who want to maximise their children’s learning, language and social development, as well as reduce behaviour problems, while ensuring their children grow up happy and emotionally secure. The programme is suitable both for children within the normal range of development as well as children with special needs, such as ADHD, speech and language and other developmental difficulties.

  • Child-centred play and communication

  • Supporting children’s self-esteem and confidence

  • Promoting children’s language and development

  • Helping children concentrate and learn

  • Building cooperation in young children

  • Establishing daily routines

  • Managing tantrums, misbehaviour and problems

Yoga

Yoga classes with Rachel Lee every Monday 9:30-10:30 in our Parent’s Room, (spaces limited to 10)

Zumba

Class for parents in St. Killian's P.E. hall.    Sept- Dec 2018

Every Monday from 9:00-10:00      €2 per class

Parent and Toddlers Club

Come along and let your toddlers learn while playing with Claire and Lulu (PEEP) in our parent’s room

Children will interact, play independently and with one another, learn nursery rhymes, play skills and enjoy

music and fun games. Tuesdays 9:00-10:30 PEEP activities from 9:30-10:30

First Aid Course

Learn how to identify and treat small injuries, burns and how to deal with certain

common illnesses and conditions. details tbc

CAD- Community Awareness of Drugs course

Know your child, be one step ahead and stay informed!

Interactive CAD course designed to help parents learn about drugs and their effects.

9:30-12:00 for six weeks, Wednesdays 9:30-12pm January
