Parent’s Association
All parents are welcome to join our Parent’s Association. The P.A. meet once a month and help promote the interests of our students and parents in co-operation with the board, principal, teachers and students. Our Parent’s Association are very active and have great energy, helping as a group to organise a lot of our school events.
Early Start Helpers
We ask the Parents of Early Start children to volunteer in their child’s classroom as many days as they can. It is a brilliant opportunity to see the fun and learning that goes on behind the closed doors and the children love to see their parents in with them.
Snow and Ice Days
Are you available on a snowy morning to help our caretaker Joe to clear a safe pathway to the school’s entrances? Many hands make light work!
Maths for Fun
Can you help out with Maths Games in Junior Infants, 2nd or 4th classes? We aim to visit the classes for 30 minute sessions, once a week for four weeks. Games take the stress out of learning and reminds children they love to know facts and figures and to get the answers right.
Cake Sales
Our school hold’s a cake sale at/around Valentine’s Day. If you are available to help on the day organising and selling the cakes please let us know. Donations of cakes will be very much appreciated too!
Sports Day
Every year the school holds its annual sports day in June. Can you help set up and provide drinks for the children, help put out or take in the equipment, help mark start and finish lines, or help to monitor or organise children in an activity? We also try and organise one sports day activity for Parents, please keep an eye out for details if you are sporty!
Fergal’s Green Fingers
We would love anyone interested in gardening to help us periodically with maintaining our lovely School garden, school pond and our yards. To this end we have set up a whats App group with volunteer parents to organise times to help Joe Carroll, our caretaker. No experience necessary just a willingness to pitch in and help… many hands make light work!
