Early Start Preschool

Early Start is the preschool in St. Fergal’s NS.  Here in Early Start we have been welcoming preschool children for over twenty years.

We have two Early Start classes here in St. Fergal’s NS. 

The Early Start session runs from :  9:00am-12:30pm

Our Curriculum

In Early Start we use the Early Start guidelines and the Aistear framework.

We focus on developing the children’s cognitive skills, their language, their personal, social and emotional development and their creative development.

Play is really important in achieving all of these goals.

 Advantages of Early Start

Early Start is staffed by a fully qualified primary school teacher and a childcare worker.

Early Start children are prepared for an excellent start in Junior Infants

The children have the full use of the school facilities.

The children can take part in school activities e.g. Assembly, Yard time, Green schools, Science displays etc.,
