Our school hosted our Seachtain na Gaeilge in the two weeks running up to St. Patrick’s Day. The children were encouraged to use their Gaeilge through out the day and every class was given a chance to speak on Radio Naomh Feargal and recite or sing a poem or song as Gaeilge. Claire hosted an Irish Cēilī for all the classes. Ms Forster brought two visitors to the classes to announce our frāsa an lae each day and we held a very special Lā glas assembly where children got to listen to traditional Irish music, play their tin whistles and perform Irish dancing.
